17 Jan 2025 Dialogue on gender-based violence: understanding, recognizing, and taking action
Itinera has engaged in a journey to stimulate open and meaningful dialogue on a topic of crucial social relevance, such as violence against women. In a sector that has historically been male-dominated and is now fully accessible to female professionals as well, exploring this topic marks an important step along the path of social responsibility undertaken by the company.
The path comes to life thanks to the collaboration with the Me.Dea Social Promotion Association, founded on the initiative of a group of women who share specific training and experience on gender-based violence. Me.Dea aims to remove all forms of psychological, physical, sexual, economic and stalking violence against women, within and outside the family environment, through prevention actions, training and special projects with public institutions and private companies.
Yesterday was the kick-off meeting of the initiative, held at Itinera’s headquarters. During the event, various forms of violence, their manifestation patterns, and the underlying dynamics were explored, followed by guidance on how to act in case of vulnerability. The meeting marked the first step in raising awareness about this issue and represented further progress in Itinera’s journey towards creating a workplace that is increasingly aware and committed to addressing topics of importance to the community.
